Duane
V. Miller is the Chief Appraiser at Integrity Appraisal and the
primary
decision maker for all
analyses performed. This is no new position for Duane as he successfully
managed a regional appraisal
office for the largest independent appraisal company in the United States,
where his office produced in
excess of 200 appraisals per month. But this is not where he got his
roots. His career started at age 18 performing appraisals in
the tri-state
area of Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina for several years and
then he
moved on to pay his dues and be mentored by one of the most respected
appraisal firms in the southeast and learn commercial appraisal.
While at this
firm, he mostly did the work that the other more qualified appraisers
were not
willing to do. Although painful at the time, he looks back now with gratitude
to have been given the opportunity to work in an environment with many
great mentors.
After
spending some time in commercial and residential banking in order
to gain experience and understanding of the entire process, Duane
returned to his roots of appraisal which is his true LOVE and passion.
It is no task for him to go to work because appraising is his inspiration.
He feels that he is now living
his dream having his own business that is based upon “gratitude
in servitude.” In his words, “everyday we serve mankind with
quality appraisal reports that are 100% in integrity, 100% of the time,
no exceptions.” Duane has surrounded himself with what he considers
to be the cornerstone of his
business: great employees. He chooses individuals that understand
the importance of service and integrity. These philosophies and principles
are what make Integrity Appraisal the business that it is today.
Duane
is married to an amazing woman and has one son and he resides near his
office in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Duane loves the outdoors and spending
time in nature with adventure at the heart of every outing. Whether it
is fishing, camping, snow skiing or just a stroll through the woods,
being in nature for Duane is like being in the arms of God. For Duane,
results matter and he lives by the words of his greatest mentor Mr. Thomas
D. Willhite, “the only
true way to gauge a man is by his results, often harsh but always fair.”
Duane is an
LS graduate of Mr. Willhite’s
PSI programs and he applies the PSI principles daily.
